Objective: Food Safety

There is a growing concern in food safety, with new alerts issued on an almost daily basis. In this sense, avoiding toxins and other harmful substances in food is a great challenge for the industry.

In order to minimize these risks, a rigorous control of the entire food chain is crucial. But what is the food industry doing to ensure food safety?

Companies are increasingly involved in controlling the safety of their products, implementing preventive measures from the raw material to ensure the maximum quality of the final product that reaches the consumer.

An exhaustive control of raw materials minimizes the risks in the final product. This includes the analysis of contaminants, pesticides and microbiological organisms, in order to select those raw materials that meet the requirements established in terms of food safety. This ensures that the final product will not present any health risk during the manufacturing process.

Being up to date with current food regulations, both European and from other international organizations, helps companies to comply with the requirements regarding food safety. In addition, the monitoring of good hygiene and manufacturing practices help to ensure the product’s safety and quality.

In the event that a food alert occurs, the follow-up of notifications through the official food safety agencies worldwide is crucial for an early product recall, in order to prevent it from reaching the final consumer.

From Monteloeder we work in our GMP-certified installations following a rigorous control of raw materials to give our customers the guarantee that their ingredients are not going to suppose a risk to the health of the consumer, thus complying with the regulations in force regarding food safety.
