In terms of regulation, Organic products need to follow a very strict procedure during all the production steps, from the field until the final product.
This is not new, and we are all aware of it. Yes… But… What happens when I have my field, on which I am not using any kind of pesticides or fertilizers and another farmer is using them, 5 or 10 miles away, and the next day arises with the wind? I will have a real value in my product… And it will not be rejected by the authorities because I am respecting their rules…
Does it make sense to have an organic product coming from the other part of the world? Talking about organics, we understand a product which impacts on the environment is very low and coming from a local partner.
We are all aware of the current situation of our planet, and we need to protect it, this makes no doubt (or at least I hope so…). The use of limited pesticides or fertilizer is a good starting point, but if the product needs to spend then 2 months in a boat before reaching you, don’t you think it is not really worth???
